To accelerate their growth and position as an industry leader, they're seeking an accomplished General Manager – Mining who will lead business development, commercialize innovative solutions, and build strategic partnerships within the mining sector.

The General Manager – Mining will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, technology adoption, and strategic expansion. Leveraging your industry network, commercial expertise, and technical background, you'll engage senior mining executives, secure strategic partnerships, and take proprietary technologies from pilot phases to full-scale, profitable operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue generation and business development, directly engaging mining-sector executives, investors, and decision-makers to secure clients and partnerships.
  • Lead technology commercialization, effectively communicating the value proposition to clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, advancing from testing phases to full-scale operations.
  • Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all projects and activities.
  • Deliver clear, actionable technical reports summarizing test outcomes and recommended next steps.
  • Expand industry presence by participating in conferences, networking events, and maintaining strong relationships with mining firms, engineering groups, and technology partners.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and strategic growth.

Requirements

  • 15+ years managing technical and sales teams in mining and mineral processing.
  • Established relationships with senior mining executives to drive client acquisition and market expansion.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience negotiating contracts, partnerships, or licensing deals.
  • Strong track record of scaling operations and delivering impactful results.
  • Proven success managing division-level budgets and meeting financial objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership of diverse teams in large-scale projects.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills to influence key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • MBA and PEng or PGeo designations are considered an asset.
