Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Recruitment Leader to play a key role in building and expanding our recruitment team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a growing business, take ownership of recruitment operations, and help shape the company’s future.

Experience in natural resources industries including mining, oil and gas, or battery technology is preferred. Experience in third party recruitment or executive search is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Scale the Recruitment Function: Work closely with leadership to grow the recruitment team, setting best practices and operational frameworks.
  • Business Development and Client Management: Identify and engage high value clients, building lasting relationships to secure recruitment opportunities.
  • Revenue Generation and Strategic Growth: Take ownership of personal billings while developing strategies to scale revenue across the team.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and manage a high performing team of recruiters, fostering a culture of excellence. While management will assist in team expansion, the candidate will play a key role in shaping its direction.
  • Process and Compliance: Ensure adherence to recruitment methodologies, reporting structures, and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work with leadership to refine recruitment strategies and share industry insights to strengthen the collective expertise of the team.
  • Operational Involvement: Participate in business decision making, helping shape long term company planning and strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in recruitment, with a track record of managing and mentoring successful teams.
  • Experience in third party recruitment or executive search is required.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to acquire new clients and expand market presence.
  • Full cycle recruitment expertise, with a hands on approach to sourcing, evaluating, and placing top talent.
  • Experience in mining, oil and gas, or battery technology recruitment preferred.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience in negotiating contracts, managing revenue targets, and driving profitability.
  • Ambition and a growth mindset, with a passion for building something long term and a desire to take ownership of a growing business.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
