Job Description

Intelligenciia is supporting an exploration stage mining company in the appointment of a GIS and Data Manager to own the integrity, structure, and usability of all geological and geospatial data across the business.

This is a hands on, execution focused role for someone who wants full ownership of drill data, laboratory interfaces, QAQC processes, and the company’s core geological database. While GIS capability is required, this is fundamentally a data management role first, supporting active drilling programs and public disclosure requirements.

The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and will act as the single source of truth for geological data across exploration, technical reporting, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

  • Own the quality, integrity, accuracy, and security of all geological, drill, surface, assay, and geospatial data.
  • Maintain and manage the company’s drill database, including laboratory management, data imports, validation, and QAQC workflows.
  • Act as the primary interface with analytical laboratories and ensure timely, accurate assay reporting.
  • Establish and maintain standardized GIS datasets, mapping templates, and a common geospatial platform across the company.
  • Deliver timely GIS outputs for internal teams and external stakeholders, including drill plans, layouts, maps, and sampling visuals.
  • Support public disclosure and technical reporting through the preparation of cross sections, maps, assay tables, and data visualizations, including animation and video.
  • Ensure data readiness and confidence for reporting periods, news releases, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Work independently to manage day to day data priorities while coordinating closely with the exploration team.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Geology or a closely related discipline.
  • 7+ years of dedicated experience in data management and GIS within an active mineral exploration environment.
  • Demonstrated hands on ownership of drill databases supporting multiple active drill rigs.
  • Strong understanding of geological data QAQC processes and laboratory data workflows.
  • Practical experience managing GIS datasets and producing exploration focused mapping outputs.
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and make informed decisions regarding data integrity and prioritization.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy and consistency.
